~ Madeline Garcia-Lopez is a Salvadoran mixed media artist who focuses on exploring Salvadoran themes that allow her to connect with her cultural history. She develops and explores new techniques to recreate traditional Salvadoran folk art. Her art works to connect her with her family through memories. She also explores topics that impact the Latine community, such as immigration and the Latine diaspora. These themes are represented in her artwork because of the importance of the people in the community to feel represented in art. It allows her to connect with people in her community who know what it is to be Latine or Salvadoran in the United States.
